"Secret Superstar ki Dangal "

Aamir Khan's movie Secret Superstar's 17 year old actress 'Zaira Wasim', is more popularly known for her role as  Geeta Phogat's childhood character played in the movie 'Dangal'.

Zaira Wasim in the movie 'Secret Superstar'.

On 10th  December 2017, when Zaira was travelling in Vistara airlines from Delhi to Mumbai, she had a bad and an unexpected experience. She complained that a man (Vikas Sachdeva) behind her seat had sexually molested her. She also claims that no crew of the Vistara airlines came for her help at that moment. She could not even manage to get a clear image of what was happening, as it was dark in the flight. Later, once she came out of the flight she posted her pain in Instagram and then this issue took a rather social move.

Vistara airlines then came forward with the words that, 'They have zero tolerance for such trouble done to their passengers'. Vikas was immediately arrested and kept in custody for few days and then released on bail.

Vikas's wife claims that her husband is a family man and haven't done anything with any intention of sexual molestation. He was tired and was asleep and it was by-mistake that his leg reached Zaira's seat and he even apologized for it. Zaira also acknowledged the sorry.

Vikas Sachdeva's wife, should have a look at the above image and be sure about her husband's etiquette. As it doesn't appear modest at all. I am sure even she would have reacted in some or the other way if such a scene ever happened with her.

My advice to the 17 year-old Zaira is that, trying to seek help through social media is also a good move. But like she said, no one will help us unless we help ourselves. I wished she could have helped herself by an on the spot reaction to the man's misbehaving. At least that could have got an immediate catch to the co-passengers and she would not have struggled so much to fight for justice. I totally agree that at such times our senses really don't work so fast, to take a smart action, but that could have brought a clear picture of truth for all. This would have not disturbed the family of Vikas Sachdeva, if at all he is innocent.

Its just amazing when you hear about something and then realize about what the truth can be. Being just a normal reader and my interest in women issues makes me write this blog. Unless you face it, you can't completely approve of what had happened. The question is not about who is speaking the truth here, whether it is Zaira, Vikas Sachdeva, Vikas Sachdeva's wife, the co-passengers or the flight crew members. The matter to think over is how many of us have come across such incidences in our lives where people try to mistreat or dis-respect us. It may be common for them to extend their leg towards your chair and then keep pushing their legs towards your seat especially in movie theater's. There do exists some nerds who seriously do it for fun and disturb others.

Next, there are a huge set of criminal minded people who commit crimes and torture others and create a scene that the victim is the accused. How long should a victim keep struggling to prove that he/she has seriously suffered.

Actually you cannot blame an individual for it. One thing I would appreciate about Zaira is her words which meant, no one will help us, unless we help ourselves. Its of-course a bitter universal truth.

The whole world may assist you wherever you go, but definitely not to the grave. On the other hand, if Vikas is innocent he is definitely hit by the stupid acts done by most other men who intend to do such acts for the sake of fun or excitement. 'A rotten apple, spoils the nearby fresh apples too'. Someone does it and it then becomes a terrific habit of many others because of which many innocents suffer.

Society has many set of people, you cant impress everyone: but you can definitely be a HUMAN. If everyone tries to be human, at least there will be less number of such blame games happening in the society. Because of which, criminals may at least dream of being caught once in their life.

being inspired by Zaira's reel life fight in 'Dangal' movie, I do wish Zaira a very good luck in this real life fight. I also expect truth to be out soon. May Justice be given to the actual victim !!!
