My experience in IFFK -2017.
IFFK (International Film Festival of Kerala) -2017.
Time: From 8th December 2017 to 15th December 2017.
Venue: Thiruvananthapuram.
Its indeed a quite unusual feeling to watch movie for the whole day. Its my first experience in any film festival. I generally dont prefer watching movies other than Indian, but in this opportunity in IFFK, I enjoyed some international movies too. Sometimes it was the frames captured in the films and sometimes it was the base story of the film that made the movie interesting for me.
Though IFFK 2017, has become a platform for few controversies too, but overall I enjoyed this festival as it gave a natural exposure to the film industry and the struggles of the people working in it as actors, directors, photographers, etc.
IFFK gave an ambiance of the film industry, because of which my approach towards films changed. I could relate to the different concepts taught in class. I became a critic when I was watching the movies and my conclusion for the movies were quite different, than the way I used to conclude before beginning my course in Electronic Journalism.
The viewers of IFFK were from different fields, most of them had totally dedicated their 8 days for watching international movies. People could watch movies as per their choices. The schedule was made in such a way that most of the movies were repeated thrice, so that genuine viewers may not miss their movies due to clash of timings.
The most amazing aspect of IFFK 2017, was their mobile application. In this technically sound world, the application was very fast. Immediate messages regarding the cancellation of movies or change of venues were sent on time. Controversial movies like ' SXXX Durga ' and ' Nude ' were initially included in the list of scheduled movies, but were not screened at the final moment of the shows.
Hoping to attend the next season as a professional person and wishing to see few more international movies with better quality.
